Dry and Warm…

We have seen some very nice weather over the last couple of days. The weather started off cool, but much warmer air is headed toward Acadiana. We will see a strong south wind return today, pushing temperatures into the mid 80s this afternoon. With a south wind for the rest of the week, the humidity will move back into Acadiana, too. High pressure aloft is just west of us, and that will block any storm systems from moving into Acadiana for the next three or four days. Highs for the rest of the week and into the weekend will be in the mid to upper 80s. Some areas may get close to 90, especially the northern parts of Acadiana. It looks as though this weather pattern will be with us through the first few days of May. We will probably need a little rain by then, and I don’t see any signs of real cool air coming back south for the next two weeks.
