Some parts of Acadiana saw a good soaker yesterday and last night, and some areas didn’t see as much rain. The heaviest rainfall totals were across the southern parts of Acadiana. Areas near New Iberia received about four inches of rain. Most of Acadia Parish only received about half an inch to an inch on average. On average all across Acadiana, about one to two inches of rain fell. We still have a chance of showers today, but the rain chances won’t be as high as yesterday. Dry weather will return for tomorrow and Thursday, then we will see a chance of rain return late Friday into Saturday. There is no doubt that this spring is much wetter than last spring.
