The tornado outbreak got an early start today as there were several reports of tornadoes near Huntsville, AL. My cousin sent me this picture of the tornado, and it was taken about five miles north of Huntsville. By looking at the picture, it looks as though it was a big tornado. Significant damage has been reported with this torando. Another round of severe weather is likely late this afternoon and tonight from the Tennessee Valley up to the Ohio Valley. For us across Acadiana, we may see a few strong storms, but the severe weather threat will be low. We will watch it closely tonight. Much colder air will be here for the weekend.
