Mardi Gras Forecast And Beyond…

After a very stormy Saturday, it looks as though today and Mardi Gras will be a nice days. We will see a few highs clouds today with highs in the mid 60s. A weak system will move toward Acadiana tomorrow, but most of the upper level energy will pass north of Acadiana, so the rain chance will be below 20% through the day. It will be mild tomorrow as highs will top out in the low to mid 70s. Rain chances will increase Thursday as a stronger storm system moves toward the area, but some of the latest computer runs are bringing that system in a little later, so we will be adjusting that through the week. It will be mild through most of the week, but cooler air will return late this week. There’s no doubt that this week will be much quieter than last week. We need some time to dry out after Saturday’s soaking.
