A line of thunderstorms along a cold front Thursday morning produced strong winds and some damage in Acadiana. This picture is courtesy of the National Weather Service in Lake Charles, taken at the former Fruit of the Loom plant near Port Barre. Straight-line winds of an estimated 50-70 mph caused part of the roof to lift off the structure. Scattered reports of damage came in from many parts of Acadiana, ranging from a trampoline knocking down a fence in Cow Island, to high winds destroying a temporary fireworks stand in Lafayette.
