To follow-up on Heath’s post, here’s a look at our FutureTrack computer model for Tuesday at 5 PM. You can see we’ll be facing a line of showers and thunderstorms moving across the northern and western part of Acadiana. The greatest severe threat appears to be damaging winds, but the overall risk is in the slight category. We may actually see a better chance of severe weather this Saturday as a potent system moves thru. The difference this weekend is that the main energy will be much further south. Although we won’t be as warm and humid, the ingredients aloft may enough to create some strong thunderstorms. We’ll keep you posted this week.
