Showers are making their way into Acadiana, and it looks as though we will see some heavy rain tonight and early tomorrow morning as an upper level disturbance makes its way into Acadiana. The best chance of rain will be overnight tonight, but we might see a few lingering showers early tomorrow morning. In the previous blog, David did a good job explaining how much rain may fall over Acadiana. We’re not going to see the flooding rains like we did about a month ago, but several inches of rain may fall over parts of Acadiana. A few storms are possible, but the severe weather risk will be very low. After this rain event, the next chance of rain will return late Sunday, and it may last into early Tuesday. We will remain mild for the next five to six days.
