As a strong storm system move through Acadiana tomorrow night into early Thursday morning, we will see a chance of storms, and some of which could be strong to severe. The wind shear in the atmosphere will be very strong as this storm system moves through, but we won’t see much instability in the atmosphere, mainly because it will be moving through during the overnight hours. With the strong wind shear, we may see damaging winds with some of the storms, and isolated tornadoes will be possible. The better chance of severe weather will be north of Acadiana. Behind this storm system, cooler air will return as temperatures will return to normal for this time of year.
