Not today! This was the scene four years ago today as snow fell across parts of Acadiana. Parts of St. Landry Parish received about 6 inches of snow with this event. The heaviest snowfall totals were across the northern parts of Acadiana. Most of the snow melted later that afternoon, but it was nice to see the white stuff across Acadiana, especially so close to Christmas. We have seen some snow since then, but not as much as we saw that year. There is still a very small chance of snow for Christmas, but you may have a better chance of winning the lottery. We can always dream. We will probably have to settle with cold temperatures, but as we know across South Louisiana, that is no guarantee.
