The first eight months of 2012 were rather wet for much of Acadiana, but the rainfall has been harder to come by since. The deficit for the month of November is 2.68″ and we’re -6.36″ compared to normal since September 1. For the year, though, we have a surplus of 4.74″. The rain of early Tuesday is the first significant moisture in weeks and is really our last chance for any wet weather before we end the month. We typically see wetter weather over the winter months.
