Storm Surge From Sandy…

Below is a look at the storm surge generated by Sandy in the New York City area.  The storm tides are quite impressive, factoring in the storm surge and the actual tide values, which were especially high due to the full moon.  By the way, kudos goes out to the National Hurricane Center and the local National Weather Service office.  The NHC nailed the track from days out and the NWS nailed the storm surge, predicting 6′-11′.  Take a look at reality:
