Just about all of Acadiana saw some rain this morning, and it did come down heavy at times. The heaviest rain fell across the western parts of Acadiana. We did see a few lightning strikes, too, but we didn’t see any severe weather. We needed the rain as most areas had not seen rain in over two weeks. I took the picture above this morning while the rain was coming down outside the studio. We had dark skies and a little sun shining through, too. If you look very closely, you can see a very faint rainbow. I didn’t notice this until I uploaded the picture to the computer. The rain wasn’t the best way to start off the work-week, but we will see some really nice weather for Friday and the weekend. I think we may see lows in the low to mid 50s . That will be just in time for the first weekend of fall.
