Tropical Depression Five

Tropical Depression Five formed this afternoon out over the Atlantic Ocean. As of the last update, winds were at 35 mph sustained and it was moving to the west/northwest at 18 mph. It does look as though this tropical system will strengthen as it moves to the west/northwest toward the Caribbean. Most of the computer models take it south of Cuba and toward the Yucatan. It may be a hurricane by late this weekend as it moves just south of Jamaica. As of now, it looks as though it will stay south of Louisiana, but many things can change over the next week or so, but we have lots of time to watch it.
