As high pressure aloft sits over Acadiana for the rest of the week, it will be hot with very low rain chances. Highs each day will be in the mid to upper 90s with a heat index near 105. The heart of that area of high pressure is west of us, so the hottest weather will be across the Great Plains as temperatures will climb over 100 each day. The storm track will be east of us for the rest of the week, but we will see a slight chance of rain return for the weekend.Besides temperatures being a little above average, we will see typical mid-summer weather for the next week.
