The start of the July has certainly been a wet one and that is an understatement. For the month of July the airport in Lafayette has recorded a total of 8.38″ of rain through yesterday. With more storms that popped up today KLFT may have received even more rain and will tie the record with 17 consecutive days of measurable rainfall. The good news is that we are going to return to a more typical summer weather pattern with only a 20% chance for pop up showers and storms. The bad news is the heat and humidity will return as highs will be climbing close to the mid 90s and heat indices could be in the triple digits once again. The rain doesn’t seem so bad now does it?
