After a dry spell for the end of June and the beginning of July where we only saw a trace of rain from June 20th -July 2nd things have definitely changed for the better. Over the past 2 days the airport here in Lafayette got almost 1.5 inches however the normal rainfall total for the month of July here in Lafayette is 6.3″! so we still have a bit of ways to go before reaching the normal value. Here at KLFY our rain gauge Saturday morning had over 2 inches of rain and that total has since been added to with Saturday and Sunday both seeing decent rainfall here at KLFY.
