While some parts of the country will see a heat wave this week, the weather across Acadiana will be pretty normal for early July. Temperatures will be running a few degrees above avaerage, but I think it will be cooler than last week. We need some rain across Acadiana as some areas have not seen rain in over two weeks, but most don’t want to see it on Independence Day. We have a chance of rain each day this week, but the rain chances will be very low, and if we do see showers or storms, they want last long. Overall, the forecast looks typical of early July.
