This picture was sent to me this morning from a viewer of a storms that was moving across the western part of Acadiana. We had several storms this morning, and the storms were producing lots of lightning. We’ve seen many storms over the last few weeks across Acadiana, mostly during the afternoon hours, but we have seen some develop during the early morning hours like this morning. As a weak boundary is stalled over us today, we will see more showers and storms this afternoon. With a moisture filled atmosphere, heavy rain will be likely with the storms. For tomorrow and through the weekend, expect a chance of showers and storms to be remain, but the rain cahances will be low. With the recent rains, the grass is nice and green. That was a different scene this time last year as we were in a severe drought.
