Here is a neat look at a thunderstorm in Vermilion Parish Wednesday afternoon, showing a hail shaft. Turning our Doppler to a 3D view exposes the area of higher reflectivity in the atmosphere. We had reports of small hail, from pea-sized to dime-sized, at the time.
