Here’s a look at the area of low pressure off the coast of North Carolina Friday evening. This could officially be classified as Tropical (or Sub-tropical) Storm Beryl at any moment from the National Hurricane Center. The center of circulation is becoming more-defined and the upper-level winds are gradually becoming more-favorable for development. The movement is now to the west-southwest and that motion should continue thru the weekend. While the system won’t impact Acadiana, we already seeing a busy start to the 2012 Hurricane Season with two systems in May alone. Be ready this year!
