We’re monitoring this disturbance off the coast of North Carolina. There is a broad area of low pressure off the coast and a sustained area of weak convection. Although we’re not in hurricane season yet, it’s not unusual to have a sub-tropical storm form this time of year. This disturbance includes the remnants of an upper-level low from earlier in the week. There doesn’t look to be much movement this weekend, as the low just hangs off the coast and spins. We’ll watch it. This is a good reminder that hurricane season is almost here. Don’t miss our hurricane special this weekend as we gear up for the 2012 season!
